In the UK, it is pretty hard to find clothes on the high street (and online too a lot of the time) which are plus-sized and actually fit. I would say I have a quirky sense of fashion so tieing that into the mix makes buying fashion items somewhat of a difficult task.
Although I am glad Plus Size clothing has changed dramatically in the last few years, the style and the fit still have a long way to go. In terms of finding a retailer I love to buy clothes from, my top three are Yours Clothing, ASOS and Hell Bunny. All of the brands have great fitting plus-size clothes.
So when Yours got in touch asking if I’d like to review some of their summer items I was excited to see what they had to offer. I picked four of the summer items from their site, all of which are completely my style, and decided I would make some cute outfit features. I enjoy getting inspiration from similarly styled content, so here are some of my favourite summer pieces from Yours and how I styled them.
Make the most of the summer days, with so many hot days already, the cooler temperatures are refreshing when it comes to spending time outdoors. This outfit is casual and works well for a day-to-day outfit. With Yours Clothing, if you find a style of an item you like, but don’t like the colour or pattern, it is likely you will be able to find an alternative on their site. With their shirts coming in so many different colours and patterns. Pair with your favourite pair of sandals and you’re ready to head to the park.
From day to night, finding the perfect dinner date outfit is key, the great thing about night outfits is that they can also be day outfits if paired with a jacket. Using a jacket makes for an ultimate casual piece. The floral dress in this outfit is lovely, and although it is a bit formal, the colours match well with the denim jacket. Pair with some Converse or white shoes and you’re good to go.
The final fashion look is for a festival, whichever festival you go to you’re bound to have a good time. Of course, if you are a British festival goer you know the weather constantly changes so it’s hard to plan ahead. However, shorts and a tee are often a safe bet for a day at the festival. Plus for me, it wouldn’t be a grungy festival vibe without a skull t-shirt.
If you are stuck in a rut looking for that perfect summer outfit I hope this post has provided you with some inspiration.
