It’s official, you guys love to see my bedroom makeover posts, so I’m bringing you another one! Last Spring I gave my room a mini makeover, however, this time it’s had a full-blown makeover, with all new furniture, removal of the wallpaper and even some paint! Thank god. I’ve gone all out and now my room is my happy place. Working from home it can often get boring staring at the same 4 walls but thanks to my office and new bedroom makeover, I am much happier with my home.
So what’s new about my room? Here are some updated pictures of how far the room has come in the last few months. If you’re interested in seeing my room before the transformation, you can view this here. Whether you like quirky decor or something a bit more ‘gothic’ my room features it all.
Ornaments
If there is one thing my room isn’t short of other than duvet covers it’s ornaments. TK Maxx is my weakness when it comes to ornaments, they have some of the cutest stuff around! Plus I totally love Halloween themed decor and I’m happy to keep it out all year round.
On the right is from The World of Miss Mindy, the American designer has plenty of awesome ornaments which you can buy on Amazon. She also has similar styled Disney princess ones! I love this one as she’s an adorable candy queen that I was gifted a few years ago.
Pictures
For my bedroom (and the rest of my home), I love to go down the route of quirky wall art as who doesn’t love a bit of something different in their home. I often find great framed prints and posters online, with Fine Art America offering plenty of unique and fun prints suitable for any home. I’ve recently fallen in love with collecting pictures when I saw this Sia-esq print in IKEA I knew I had to purchase it, alongside the black frame as it really makes the picture pop.
Furniture
After a terrible two years of a bed which doesn’t like to stay together, we finally upgraded our bed, which has a super cool looking headboard. Our bed does have under bed storage which is ideal as I am a huge fan of collecting pretty much everything, so having somewhere extra to store things is nice.
Even though we have our ottoman bed when I saw these ottomans from Wilko for £17, I knew I had to get one. I didn’t have massively high hopes for the ottoman, however, so far it’s held together really well and I’ve packed it full of stuff so I’m pretty chuffed with this. It also makes a great extra seat which I am equally as impressed with.
Bedding
Finally, if you follow my Instagram you’ll know I am a huge fan of duvet covers, currently, I own 10. I recently added an 11th to the collection, I adore the colours and it brightens up the room, even on the darkest of days. It’s available to buy from Primark… buuuuut… I can’t remember how much for!
The anti-social pillow is from New Look, sadly they no longer sell this. I also have an amazing mug which fits the “anti-social theme” too.
Stay tuned for my kitchen makeover next, as it’s coming soooon!
