Out of all of the Naked palettes this one caught my eye the
most and when it appeared through my front door on day of release I was made
up. I always to Urban Decay for my eyeshadow palettes as they are always on top
form. I am more of a bright eyeshadow person with their spectrum an Alice
palettes being firm favourites of mine. But for work I have been looking at
creating more toned down looks, however I still an element of ‘me’ and I feel
like this palette creates that. So more about the palette. I received this a
little over a week ago, and I wanted to try it a fair few times before writing
this post.

So the palette is full of 12 all new shades which is pretty cool. Although it
is the heat palette I think it will make some damn awesome autumn looks. The
colours in the palette are gorgeous deep reds, browns and beautiful orange
shades. The shades are described the UD site as the following:
Ounce (ivory shimmer)
Chaser (light nude matte)
Sauced (soft terra-cotta matte)
Low Blow (brown matte)
Lumbre (copper shimmer w/gold pearl shift)
He Devil (burnt red matte)
Dirty Talk (metallic burnt red)
Scorched (metallic deep red w/gold micro-shimmer)
Cayenne (deep terra-cotta matte)
En Fuego (burgundy matte)
Ashes (deep reddish-brown matte)
First things first with this palette, the pigmentation is out of this world as
well as this being super easy to blend and you are able to create a variety of
looks from this palette. I think this palette is also great due to the warm
tones within, making it easily for people with a variety of skin tones to use.
I found the box it came in really cute as well with the burnt matches in the
inside of the box. The same as all of the other Urban Decay palettes there is a
mirror within, making it easier for those times when you don’t have a mirror
available. I found the palette itself a little bit chunkier than usual so maybe
not perfect for travelling etc. However I do enjoy the overall feel and look of
the box itself.
My favourite shades of the palette are dirty talk, scorched and ember as I feel
they are the most stand out shades of the palette, perfect for creating those
looks that catch your eye (excuse the pun ha ha).
Also like all of the urban decay palettes it comes with a double sided brush
which is great to keep in the palette for on the go, however I would usually
use different brushes on a daily basis. I would recommend this palette to
anyone looking for some colours to create awesome autumn looks with, anyone who
likes bolder looks than more neutral colours OR just to anyone who loves
Urban Decay and wants all of their palettes.
Available from Debenhams for £39.50, but sold out from Urban Decay online.
Sad times.
