If you are a regular reader of my blog you may be aware that recently I collaborated with the company My Mall Box who allowed me to review their service and pick some goodies from an American site to review their service. If you haven’t read my blog before or you didn’t know about this collaboration feel free check it out here. As most of you who are fans of Colourpop will know that they’re a US only brand but do now currently ship to the UK, When my goodies arrived a few weeks back it was too good of an opportunity not to show you what I picked during my haul and also why I am in love with the brand after this one order. I hope you enjoy this haul and I would love to know in the comments what you have tried from Colourpop.
When the order arrived I was super excited about what had arrived, I looked up the swatches online and I was so excited to see so many pretty sparkly white boxes in the packages (the pictures are missing two Lippie Stix as I ordered two in the same shade). I knew if the pretty packaging was anything to go by I was in for a treat, I went for five eye shadows and seven Lippie Stix. At first I pulled of the lipsticks out of the packaging and was admiring them as they’re so pretty and lovely colours. The same goes for the eyeshadows, I was planning on getting some brighter colours but I recently received the Alice palette and decided to go for something a little different. The eyeshadows are all super pigmented, bright and contain some gorgeous glitter in some of them. I decided I would share with you a first impressions of the Lippie Stix and the eyeshadows to help if you plan on placing an order.
Eyeshadows:
When I received the eyeshadows they were quite a bit smaller than what I was expected, I thought they would be a lot deeper as well. But they did only cost $5 each which is around £3.50 so can’t really complain. When I opened them I noticed the eyeshadow looked really spongy and when testing them out with a brush I wasn’t wrong. The formula is like a normal shadow but the pot is squishy. When applying it my brush I noticed not a lot came on to the brush but when I applied it I noticed tons appeared to be on my eye so there isn’t much needed for a full eye of colour. I found the eyeshadows to be bright and how they appear in the package. The colours I picked (from L-R) were Erotic, Coconut, Snap Dragon, Drift and Nillionaire, my favourite being Erotic. They’re great little shadows and easy to be carried around and I will totally be purchasing more in the future.
Lippie Stix:
The Lippie Stix are the main reason I placed the order in the first place as I have heard SO many amazing things about them and so many bloggers rave about them. From the colours I’ve picked it’s totally obvious I am into my pinks and reds (totally wasn’t expected Hollywood BLVD to be brown!) The Lippie Stix all have different finishes my favourite being the matte ones which is strange for me as I don’t usually like matte products. I love the satin finish too but I found it not as long lasting as the matte. The Lippie Stix are easy to apply and look great when applied and give a full pop of colour (excuse the pun haha). They have a similar lush smell to the MAC lipsticks and I have heard of several of the Colourpop Lippie Stix have been referred to as dupes of MAC lipsticks. Wifey and Scandy are both beautiful bright pink shades and I love them both.
