During my childhood, the games I played usually consisted of a computer and a CD-ROM. I played hours of Roller Coaster Tycoon trying to work how to make a rollercoaster with loads of loops, so the test drive made everyone sick. I also played The Sims and had the H&M pack, and was living my best life. Although the days of CDs for computer gaming are gone, thanks to Steam and similar platforms. Along with the world of streaming on Twitch. Computer gaming is still very much popular.
Whether you’re looking for a new game to play or want a throwback gaming session, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of my favourite games, making a reappearance in 2021.
The Sims 4
Although I didn’t play The Sims 4 as a child, as it was still on its first edition and then second, I did play The Sims and had the H&M expansion pack. The Sims 4 has some really exciting expansion packs, including pets, eco lifestyle and cottage living. I do wish I could play The Sims 4 on my Switch. Playing on my computer is still great. With the Sims, you know you’ll be able to enjoy hours of customising fun and building your very own universe.
Nick Ultimate Mini Golf Universe
I never had this game as a child, as it wasn’t around. However, one of my favourite games was Rugrats Search for Reptar. Which featured the Rugrats on an adventure, and one of the challenges was a mini-golf game! Which I remember vividly being my favourite part of the game. So when I saw this on Plays.org, I knew I had to give it a go. So far, I’ve played the Sponge Bob course. Another game featuring the Rugrats is Nick Racing Stars, where you will find Tommy wearing a Reptar costume.
Stardoll
That’s right, that game you spent hours playing as a child can still be played online today. Luckily the graphics have improved somewhat since the old days of Stardoll. It’s still a nostalgic game to play, and the concept is still the same. If you want to play Stardoll, you can do it here.
The Powerpuff Girls Unordinary Week
I used to play Powerpuff Girls games on the computer as the Powerpuff Girls were my favourite cartoon. Another game on Plays.org is The Powerpuff Girls Unordianry week, which has different levels of difficulty. It’s a fighting game with a twist. Although I wish I could see more of the original characters, I still love playing this game, and it gives me nostalgic vibes.
