I absolutely love shopping at small businesses as it provides me with a sense of helping someone alongside being able to provide a truly lovely gift. I tend to search Etsy, Not on the High Street and Instagram to find unique, colourful and happy treats for myself and also my friends. I decided as we are currently in a pandemic, small businesses may struggle with less of us spending money. With that in mind, here are 7 small businesses that I will happily vouch for as being amazing as I’ve used each one myself.
Bettie Confetti
Shoutout to Bettie Confetti for their awesome and super colourful gifts and cards. As someone who loves gifting with a difference, coming across Bettie Confetti was exciting. During lockdown it’s been sad being unable to be with friends for their birthdays, however, Andy from Bettie Confetti got in contact with me after I left a note on my order advising not to put an invoice in the package as it was for a present. Recently I signed up to the Tiny Party Club from the Sugar and Sloth website, which contains illustrated goods each month by Anita who is the founder of Sugar and Sloth and I’ve gotta tell you, judging by the past boxes, there are some seriously cute surprises heading my way. Sorayraya has been on my radar for a while, with the coolest personalised phone cases you’ve ever seen, I mean they’re truly one of a kind. They’re quirky, bold and are perfect for those looking for a little more when it comes to accessorising your phone. When browsing Sorayaya’s Etsy I also notice that she sells pins, earrings and other cool jewellery too. Recently I was searching for the perfect gift to send to my Grandma for her birthday and I came across Lottie Shaws, which is an award-winning bakery based in Yorkshire (which is where my grandparents happen to be based) and found some super yummy looking hampers. Tea Please
Last but not least is the lovely Tea Please, the company who sell mugs, clothes and phone cases which sum up pretty much every mood. With funny, sassy, romantic and slightly offensive mugs (with a side of Tiger King), I absolutely love Tea Please and what they have to offer. I haven’t ordered from them in a while, however, when I have in the past they always deliver quickly and their mugs are high quality.
