When I first started out as a property manager, it was a little overwhelming. You have a huge responsibility in this role to ensure that every property is well looked after and maintained all year round. As the first point of contact for any maintenance issues, I needed to find reliable handyman services to help with the job. That’s where the amazing Handy Squad came in! They provide the most excellent service to help take the stress away from property management, and I just had to share it for anyone else needing an extra set of hands.
Typical maintenance issues
Property management has many roles from sourcing home insurance quotes, handling tenants’ interactions and dealing with any maintenance issues, there is a lot to keep on top of. See in the City described in a recent blog post, how a property management company, “can help you schedule regular maintenance and repairs. This will ensure that your property is always in good condition.” It’s true! I used the Handy Squad to help fix some cosmetic cracks that had appeared in the walls of one of my properties, whilst also unblocking the downstairs toilet. It’s ideal having a property maintenance company who have all services under one roof. So, whether you need a plumber, electrician, decorator or handyman they can help and can even perform two jobs at once, what’s not to like?
Out with the old
One job that I have always found tricky when working in property management is preparing the property for new tenants or homeowners. Usually, when an old resident leaves, there are many odd jobs that need attention, ensuring the property looks pristine and brand-new. This can involve tasks such as adding a fresh lick of paint, running an electrical test or simply jet washing the outdoor patio. Whatever it may be that you need help with, “a professional handyman will tackle your home renovations and repairs as quickly as possible, efficient and to standard” says She Might be Loved. So, it’s a no-brainer to take the stress and hassle away from property management.
Sticky Mud and Belly Laughs goes on to add “I can see that there are things that need to be done around the house, but I simply do not have the time (and sometimes I don’t have the skills necessary to do it properly)”. Which is exactly why I rely on the experts! Their experience means that I can carry out my job properly, leaving homeowners/tenants happy and satisfied (which they definitely wouldn’t be if I attempted the job myself!).
So, what do you think?
Will you be hiring a company like the Handy Squad to help with your professional property management needs? Perhaps, you are not a property manager but just a stressed homeowner who needs some extra help. There is no shame in reaching out to a local handyman to assist you, I’m on board with anything that provides me with some added ease.
